High School Donors - 16-year-olds
In September 2008, The Community Blood Bank began taking 16-year-old blood donors, and the response has been outstanding! If you are 16 and you would like to donate, you must have a signed CBB parental consent form AND Photo ID. You must also weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and eat well before donating. You must wait 12 months from the date of any tattoos or piercings received from a tattoo parlor (or a friend). Ear piercings from a jeweler are not considered a deferral.
