The Community Blood Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York is honored to announce that not one, but two of our blood donors & advocates have been honored for their work in an extra way.
Fresenius-Kabi, a global healthcare company that specializes in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition has partnered with blood centers across the country for 18 years to develop the Donation Hall of Fame, a program that recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to blood donation and to ensuring that blood is available to patients in need in their communities.
Last week, two of our own donors were inducted into the Fresenius-Kabi Donation Hall of Fame. On Tuesday, November 17, Lauren Zurick, a Community Blood Bank donor since 2008 was honored for her work as a donor and as an advocate at an induction ceremony at our Erie Donor Center.
Then, on Wednesday, November 18, James Querry, a Community Blood Bank donor since 2011 was honored for his work as a donor and as donor chair for Mansfield University at an induction ceremony at the university. Both the University’s President and Council of Trustees were present to congratulate James.
Congratulations to both Lauren & James and thank you both for all that you’ve done!
